Ex Machina
Ex Machina is a preset expansion pack for Arturia’s Pigments 3.
Primarily designed with cyberpunk in mind, Ex Machina works for many other genres such as dark synthwave or dark cinematic. The modwheel tends to make all the presets (where assigned) brighter and more aggressive. If you hold off on the modwheel then most of the presets can be used for more chilled genres.
Containing 139 presets (with extra variations)
17 basses
21 keys
18 leads
27 pads
12 arps & melodic sequences
13 percussive sequences (also includes the 13 single hits used for these)
13 pulses
5 bass drops (with 4 time variations for each)
8 hits
5 risers (with 3 time variations for each)
The vast majority of the presets have the modwheel and all 4 Pigments macros mapped to create movement and variation in the sound. Leads have also had aftertouch assigned to vibrato.
The presets were created in Pigments 3 version 3.1.0.1552 so I cannot guarantee them working in an earlier version. You can get the most up to date version of Pigments from your Arturia Software Center.
